Interesting Signs, Banners & Posters on USU Campus
This is the computer kiosk I use to e-mail all of you when on campus. This year they added these screens above the kiosk. The one on the left has ads for the copy center, computer center etc.

The screen on the right shows the routes of all the Aggie Shuttles. I like this service and find it handy. Lauri and I watch this one. We shuttle from the stadium parking lot when we ride together.

We watch for the blue arrow to know how much time we can stay in the building before going outside in the cold. WE can judge whether we have enough time for one more bathroom break or return to the shop if we forgot something.

The Hub got a new sign

Compare this to the old one. Which do you like best?

Posters
There's something for everyone. I definitely wouldn't join this club but I liked the retro picture. Aunt Hertha would love this type of thing.

When I first saw this sign, I asked myself. What is Bromance? OK so I'm learning new college terms. It's when guys hang out. I was told by a customer that in the mission field they referred to each other as Bro. What happened to "Hey Elder." Have you out there heard this term before?

Here's one of our Shop Hanger- Outers , who admits he like to Bromance with his buddies,

Bike Week and Print Sale

I loved the sweater on this poster. I don't think it's all that ugly. It reminded me of the 60 -70's ski sweater. I've had had several conversations with customers about this. Students now days don't wear sweaters, it's fleece, slick materials. Several professors came in wearing old type ski sweaters. I told them it reminded me of the sweater on this poster. One student said kids are going to DI to buy the sweater to be retro. I saw advertised in a SLC paper an "Ugly Sweater Place."
At first glance I thought this advertised beer. Yes, the poster did the trick. It got my attention.

I have attended the Antics, Improv group once last year and this year. They started performing at a movie theater at 10:30 pm. They were selling tickets in the hall. I told them it's too late for me to hang around and I wouldn't drive back from Preston for their show. One night after visiting Noel in the hospital I realized it was 10:00 on my way home. Nest time I visit Noel late , I'm going to the Improv show, which I did.
I kept asking patrons if any of them had gone to the "Turning Away" program/lecture. Ony one gal in the hall admitted to attending. She's dealt with drugs and said it sounded too familiar and left after an hour.

I thought this poster was clever and learned

that watching movies while in a pool with a
food or drink bar is common in other places
like California. I really wouldn't want to watch
a movie while laying in an inner tube. But I
think it's a great idea for a date night.

This poster came out at Halloween time. It's not a campus activity but held in a
Utah town. It reminded me of balloon launching at the family reunion.
Banners
I would like to have attended this lecture about CS Lewis.

Lots of different signs in one shot.
What the heck is Banned Book Week? I don't remember any publicity on this last year. The library has a display about this. It showed a time line starting Before Christ of books which people tried to ban. such as the bible. In recent years, Huck Finn, Monster in My Closet, 1984 plus many others which surprised me. This week is to promote freedom of speech and writing.
Interesting signs and posters. Bromance is new to me.
