Golden Sheets

Golden Sheets

When I picked Nanette up in Pocatello she took me to the mall kiosk where she claimed king sheet sets were sold for 20.00. I couldn’t believe this price until I saw it for myself. We loaded up on sheets when the lady said buy “two get one free.” Ok so they were made in China, but they have high thread count. 845 for King, 1600. Queen Yes, its like sleeping in a parachute.

My idea was to get extra sheets for our King so they could be changed without waiting on the wash since Noel was spending so much time in bed. So I tried out my plan, put the new golden sheets on and tossed the others in the dirty clothes. Next thing I knew Noel’s complained that they make him itch. Oh, for Heavens Sake, Last year we nearly killed him with a new pillow, he turned red, started itching and had trouble breathing. I had just made the bed but I thought I better get those sheets off before I killed him again this year. ( No, not another trip to ER) Once the golden sheets were washed they were ok. (FYI. These sheets don’t fit very tight and slide around.)

Tonight I washed the underwear with maroon parachute sheets and they faded. Now we have pink under wear.

  1. Under wear as in G's?? Wash your maroon parachute sheets in cold water & ammonia. That will set the color. I washed a red shirt with my undies on my mission.

  2. Well, I certainly won't wash them with underwear again. The thought occurred to me as I combined them. Then I fooled myself into thinking I had already washed them, No, it was the golden sheets.

  4. I love new sheets or freshly cleaned sheets. It is one of my favorite things in life. I've never had super slick sheets, I wonder if I would like those?
