ER

We made three trips to ER during the Christmas break, two in Preston and once to Logan. Noel passed out in the bathroom on the 20^th landed on his bum and hurt his back. We waited a few days to see how he felt, (PAIN) before taking him to ER for x-rays. Nothing was broken. Later the same night he pain had moved to his kidney area so I took him back to ER where blood work was done testing for kidney infection or failure.

My goal during Christmas break was to stay home, catch up on things and avoid driving to Logan at all costs. This didn’t work when I drove Noel to ER on the 31st because I the paranoid nurse thought maybe the wound had become infected. No, the white stuff I saw was protein, sign of healing wound. All these trips came on the holidays when doctors were booked or couldn’t be reached thus the ER choice.

During this holiday season, Noel has spent most his time in bed with back pain. The blessing is: it has kept him off his foot, which has healed more on the inside.
