Hat Retirement

There comes  a time when  things wear out, break, or go out of fashion. I admit I’m  too attached to physical things. Remember my car withdrawal and mourning when my Lincoln car went to Cash for Clunkers?
Well, I’ve decided it’s time to retire my faithful, colorful Ricks College hat, which I used for biking, jogging Ha (walking) mowing lawn and doing yard work.

I bought it when Ricks College was changed to BYU-Idaho thinking I would never see  Ricks College printed on anything. (Not true) They still sell T-shirts etc with the name of Ricks College.

Why did it have to fall apart on me?  Well, I sweated and it got dirty so I washed it. That was a mistake and the beginning of holes. Then there were a few close calls mowing under the fruit trees where my hat caught in the branches and was ripped off my head. Needless to say people have been making fun of my holy hat.
So out with the old and in with the new.

I bought a BYU  Cougars replacement hat

which I  wear to offset my Utah State Sweat pants. Being a BYU graduate, I can't just wear USU clothing.

You can find me walking the track in multiple college attire.  Nanette gave me two ISU T-shirts which revolve with the BYU football shirt. Hail to thee new BYU Hat. Will we become buddies and get attached? Knowing myself ; it's only a matter of time.

  1. Hm-m-m, seems like I remember you saying just that...that you wanted to buy something with "Ricks" on it. Were we together at a Women's conference in Rexburg at the time?
