Everyone was home for Christmas except for David and Kelly. It was very nice to have Lincoln back with us again. He brought Amanda.
We had a turkey meal on Christmas Eve and a nice breakfast before opening gifts. I should report that Nanette was the last one up. She's tucked away so far upstairs in the back attic bedroom, we were about to call her on her cell phone to wake her when she appeared.
Stuffing stockings was a collaborative effort this year. Nanette was in charge of chocolate. Yes, I loved and savored those Bons Bons. She said I could be in charge of salt, so I bought crackers and a few toiletry items. Kim and Joseph added gum and candy canes etc. Nanette shopped for Noel for me so anything I got was a surprise to him also.

Noel's gift theme dealt with beds. Kim mended a quilt, and I gave him a super fleece blanket and a pillow. Noel pulled pillow out of the plastic bag and placed it behind his head. Soon he complained of a rash, itching, light headed, and the feeling of wanting to throw up. An apparent allergic reaction turned him red in the face, made it hard to swallow and the beginning of hives. Luckily Kim had and suggested Benedryl which slowly turned the symptoms around. For weird, I wondered if we were going to end up in emergency room on Christmas Day. Thank you again Kim. I never would have thought to use Benedryl. The pillow has polyester filling , a 100% cotton cover. Cover made in China and filled and finished in USA.. So look out for those Wal-mart foreign conspiracy covered pillows.
So I guess we could say we survived Christmas and my cooking.
I was very curious about a tall skinny brown box which Joseph and Kim brought in before bed time and leaned it in the corner. Was it skiis, a quilt frame, heaven forbid. Noel guessed right off, a King size bed frame. The best part of the gift was free installation. Thank you Joseph and Kim. The bed box springs had previously been sitting on the ground. Now we can jump up into bed. It seems as high as mother's ( Grandma Isons's bed.
Another surprise gift I received from Joseph & Kim was a King Singers CD plus an autographed post card. "How did you get this? They attended the live concert in Logan and never told a soul.
Nanette took a surprise/ silent video of us thus ending her part #3 Christmas video. Here she and Joseph look on as she edits.
She really loves her new Macbook. I found her in bed curled up with her Mac.
Noels' ankle, just in case you're interested. He wears a walking boot most the time. Look closely and you will see the right ankle is still swollen.
Yes---glad to hear the benedryl worked its magic. Yucky surprise for Noel. Glad he's OK now.
