Mo Betta Steak

Sharla and I ate at Mo Betta Steaks tonight
.

You pick up and order at the counter  similar to Costa Vida..  I ordered Teriyaki chicken and steak which included two big snow balls of rice and a salad. I have kidded Brian about serving rice with steak, why not a potato?   "It's the Hawaiian way." Brian was right, it was very filling.
I asked if Brian was working to say "Hello to him ".  No he took the night off for the USU BYU ballgame,  BUSTED.

All the meals were served in Styrofoam containers
I guess this saves on dishwashing and dishes but it's
hard to cut the meat and everything is squished together.  Next time bring we'll have to bring our own plates.

The Rest of the Story later.....

We headed back to USU to attend a instrumental ensemble concert.  The concert hall was dark.  "Something's wrong here." We walked inside the Caine Fine Arts building to find a poster. "Rats" the concert is next week." What else was playing at 7:30? "Shakespeare's "Tempest" produced by five professional actors from England.

I had met two of the troupe in the barber shop. I never made any promises to see their production because  1. I usually can't hear all the words, 2. Even if I'm reading I don't understand. In college I used cliff notes just to get through my Shakespeare class. The last customer of the day was the actor who Stephanie cut. I suggested Stephanie attend their production and represent the Barber Shop. She and her new husband planned on a movie. "You can see a movie anytime, go to the" Tempest"  When the young actor learned she was a newly wed, he wanted gift her tickets but he didn't have any.. So he gave a healthy tip  to cover the cost of tickets.

Sharla seemed interested in"The "Tempest" and thought it would have been better than the Instrumental ensembles so we decided to try it. We paid a healthy price, could have saved 5.00 for Seniors if I had known about it. We sat on  last row in the middle section. We saw Steph and Nick about five rows ahead of us on the left side.

The five actors played parts of 15 different characters.  They did a great job but I couldn't hear every word and had no idea what was going on. Sharla and I both took naps. At the first intermission, We high tailed it out of there with 3-4 other groups. There was one more hour which I refused to suffer through. I'm very curious what Steph will say about the production when I see her next.

Well the saxophone quartet, and the tubaphone ensemble will have another week to practice. It would really help if I could read a poster correctly.

So the food was great but the entertainment was a Bust.

I tried reading the program notes when I got home but lost  interest  by paragraph two.

  1. oh man... styrofoam is terrible for the environment. Doesn't decompose. When burned releases lots of chemicals. I wonder how much of that stuff they use each day.
