9th Floor Please

I had of an interesting photo shoot. Went to the business building on campus. Took the elevator to the 8^th floor. Asked the receptionist if I could look out her window and take pictures. The new Agriculture building is blocking the view of Old Main.

I asked the receptionist if there was one more floor. “Yes, but it takes a key to the elevator to get up to the reception area”. She offered and I partook.

Wow! what a classy looking room. She pushed the right buttons and wall lamps came on. Then curtains on three sides rose showing East, West, South panoramic view

I imagined uppity- up people in the business department had entertained many important, famous people in this spot.. Imagine the reaction of a foreign visitors when the curtains rise. Probably meetings were held here to solicit funds for the Business school. I’m sure the department wined and dined here to work business deals and recruit professors and leaders. I retirement parties, graduation receptions and etc.

Soon it was time to head to work.

I got to dim the lights and push the button to lower the shades. Cool. Such power in a little finger.
