Fines
I told you about getting a parking ticket which I paid on time then noticed last weekend I failed to mail the check.. Now they’ll probably want to charge me double.
Not only have I received a parking fine but the library fined me for and empty bag. True I checked out a magazine and took it home in the plastic zip lock bag. But I returned the magazine on time without the bag. Next time I checked out a book I had a 50 cent fine on the empty bag. Pleeze, I protested, and the worker said, “We use these all the time.” Since I had the 50 cents in my pocket I paid her. I think if it had been one of the older workers, who knew me, I could have weaseled out of the fine.
Fine Arts
The fine Arts Department is producing “Sweeny Todd” as their big musical of the year. That should be talk for the barber shop. This week, Tennessee Williams,” Glass Menagerie” opens. He had a depressing life and wrote same type of dialogue, “Street Car Named Desire” If I want to watch yelling and arguments for entertainment I’ll watch Judge Judy in court, or Montell Williams show. Can’t they find something positive and uplifting to perform? BYU is doing “ Thoroughly Modern Millie” this year.
